Common forms of unloading plate inserts in stamping die manufacturing
In the modern manufacturing industry, stamping dies are extremely widely used, they provide high efficiency and precision for various metal processing processes. In the manufacture of stamping dies, the unloading plate insert is a component that cannot be ignored, and it is directly related to the service life of the die and processing accuracy.
In the stamping process, after the material is pressed into the mold, the formed product needs to be taken out from the mold, and this work is completed by the unloading plate. In order to improve the service life of the unloading plate and the convenience of replacement, the unloading plate inserts are usually used in the form of design and manufacture. Unloading plate inserts can not only withstand high-pressure impact, but also to smoothly unload the processed parts, which requires its material, shape design and so on must meet certain standards.
Generally speaking, according to different needs and mold structure, stamping die manufacturing unloading plate inserts can be divided into several categories.
The first is the straight-through unloading plate, this form of structure is simple, suitable for product shape more regular mold.
The second type is the unloading plate with slope, this design helps to guide the product smoothly out of the mold.
The third type is the segmented discharge plate, which is suitable for the complex shape of the product or the need for multi-point discharge occasions.
The last is the floating unloading plate, which can adapt to the slight deformation of the product to ensure smooth unloading.
These forms have their own characteristics, but all follow the same design principles: to ensure smooth unloading and reduce wear and tear on the mold.
When it comes to manufacturing, the choice of material for the unloading plate inserts is critical. Common materials include tool steel, carbide, etc. These materials have good wear resistance and strength. During processing, the material also needs to be heat-treated to improve hardness and toughness. In addition, surface treatment such as plating is also common practice, which can effectively prevent corrosion and wear.
When designing discharge plate inserts, engineers take many factors into consideration. For example, the shape and size of the product, the material properties, and the working conditions of the mold. These factors together determine the specific design parameters of the unloading plate insert. At the same time, in order to ensure the processing efficiency and product quality, the design also needs to reserve the appropriate discharge gap, and consider the size and direction of the discharge force.
It is worth mentioning that, with the development of CNC technology, the design and manufacture of unloading plate inserts nowadays rely more and more on advanced CAD/CAM software. These software can help designers accurately calculate the unloading force, simulate the unloading process, and even optimize the design. This not only improves the accuracy of the design, but also greatly shortens the product development cycle.
