What should I do if the finished product of injection molding processing sticks to the film?
Injection molding is a widely used plastic molding technology, which is loved by many manufacturing industries for its high efficiency and accuracy. However, in the production process of injection molding finished products, sometimes found that the surface of the finished product there is a phenomenon known as "sticky film", which not only affects the appearance of the product quality, but also may have an impact on the use of the product performance.
In the face of this problem, how to solve it?
1. Optimization of mold design: mold design is the first step of injection molding production, but also a very important step. Reasonable mold design can not only improve production efficiency, but also reduce the occurrence of sticky film phenomenon. For example, we can use polishing technology to improve the surface finish of the mold, thus reducing the friction between the plastic melt and the surface of the mold; or by changing the location and shape of the gate, so that the plastic melt fills the mold more uniformly and reduces the local high shear force.
2. Choose the right plastic material: Different plastic materials have different viscosity in their molten state, plastic materials with low viscosity are easier to flow, and the friction with the surface of the mold will be reduced accordingly. Therefore, when we choose the plastic material, in addition to consider the use of the product requirements, but also consider its flow properties.
3. Adjust the injection molding process parameters: the choice of injection molding process parameters directly affect the flow state of the plastic melt. For example, increase the barrel temperature and mold temperature can reduce the viscosity of the plastic melt, so that it is easier to flow; and appropriate increase in injection pressure and speed can make the plastic melt to fill the mold more quickly, reduce its residence time on the mold surface.
4. Use of release agent: release agent is a kind of substance coated on the surface of the mold, it can form a thin film on the surface of the mold, reduce the direct contact between the plastic melt and the surface of the mold, so as to reduce the friction and prevent the occurrence of sticky film phenomenon. However, the use of attention should be paid to the selection of good compatibility with the plastic material release agent, otherwise it may affect the quality of the product.
The above are some basic methods to deal with the phenomenon of sticky film on finished injection molded products, but the specific application also needs to be based on the actual situation of the product for comprehensive consideration.
