Deformation characteristics of stamping large curved parts
During the stamping process of large and complex curved parts, various deformation phenomena often occur due to the influence of material properties, process parameters, mould structure and other factors.
The deformation characteristics of stamping large curved parts mainly include bending deformation, twisting deformation, tensile deformation and compression deformation.
These deformation phenomena are mainly due to the imbalance between the internal stress and external force of the metal material in the stamping process, resulting in changes in the shape and size of the material.
I. Bending deformation
Bending deformation is the most common deformation phenomenon in stamping, which is due to the uneven pressure on the material during the stamping process, causing the material to bend in the direction of force. This kind of deformation phenomenon is especially obvious in the stamping of large curved parts, because the shape of large curved parts is complicated, the force situation is more complicated, so the bending deformation is more serious.
Twisting deformation
Twisted deformation is due to the process of stamping, the material is subjected to uneven shear force and pressure, making the material rotate in the direction of force. This kind of deformation phenomenon is also more common in the stamping of large curved parts, especially in the case of uneven thickness of the material or improper heat treatment of the material, the phenomenon of twisted deformation will be more serious.
Third, tensile deformation and compression deformation
Tensile deformation and compression deformation is due to the stamping process, the material is subjected to the direction of pressure and the original length of the material is not consistent with the direction of the original length of the material, resulting in the material in the direction of the force to produce elongation or shortening. This kind of deformation phenomenon also occurs in the stamping of large curved parts, especially when the plasticity of the material is poor or the speed of the stamping process is too fast, the phenomenon of tensile deformation and compression deformation will be more obvious.
In order to reduce the deformation phenomenon of stamping large curved parts, it is necessary to make improvements in the following aspects:
Firstly, optimize the design of the mould, so that the force distribution of the mould is more uniform and the stress concentration of the material is reduced;
Secondly, adjust the stamping process parameters, such as stamping speed, stamping depth, etc., so that the degree of material deformation can be effectively controlled;
Once again, select appropriate metal materials and heat treatment process, improve the plasticity and toughness of the material, and reduce the deformation of the material;
Finally, the use of advanced stamping equipment and technology, such as CNC stamping, hydraulic stamping, etc., to improve the precision and efficiency of stamping processing.
