What should I do if the size and shape of a bent part do not match during the stamping process?

In stamping process, we often encounter the problem that the size or shape of the bent part is not as expected. This may involve a number of aspects, such as mould design, material selection, stamping process and so on. For example, if the design of the mould is not reasonable, it may lead to the size of the bent part cannot meet the expectation; if the selection of the material is not suitable, it may affect the shape of the bent part; if the operation of the stamping process is not proper, it may also lead to the deviation of the size and shape of the bent part.

I. For the problem of mould design.

We can solve it by optimising the mould structure and improving the precision and durability of the mould. For example, we can use higher precision CNC machine tools for mould processing to improve the precision of the mould; we can also use higher hardness materials to make the mould to improve the durability of the mould.

Second, for the problem of material selection.

We can solve it by choosing suitable materials and controlling the heat treatment process of materials. For example, we can choose materials with good plasticity and toughness to ensure the shape of the bent parts; we can also adjust the heat treatment temperature and time of the material to change the physical properties of the material, which will affect the shape of the bent parts.

Third, for the stamping process.

We can solve it by optimising the stamping parameters and improving the level of stamping operation. For example, we can determine the optimum stamping speed, stamping depth and number of stamping parameters through tests and analyses; we can also improve the skills and experience of stamping operators through training and practice. We can also monitor and inspect the dimensions and shapes of bent parts in real time by introducing advanced inspection equipment and methods so that problems can be identified and corrected in a timely manner. For example, we can use high-precision measuring equipment, such as coordinate measuring machines, to accurately measure the dimensions of bent parts; we can also use high-resolution observation equipment, such as optical microscopes, to observe the shape of bent parts in detail.
