Principle and Function of Circuit Breaker Auxiliary Switches
The circuit breaker auxiliary switch is composed of a contactor and a distribution protection device, which can monitor the changes of current, voltage and other parameters and carry out control operations according to the set conditions. By connecting with the circuit breaker, the auxiliary switch can realise remote operation and control of the circuit breaker to ensure the normal opening and closing of the power equipment.
The functions of circuit breaker auxiliary switches are mainly in the following aspects:
1. interlocking control: the circuit breaker auxiliary switch can be interlocked and connected with other equipments, and when the interlocking conditions are satisfied, it can control the circuit breaker and achieve the coordination and cooperation between equipments.
2. Signal transmission: The auxiliary switch can transmit the status information of the circuit breaker to the monitoring system or distribution protection device, monitor the operation of the equipment in real time, and remind the operator to control and adjust accordingly.
3. fault protection: when power equipment fails, the circuit breaker auxiliary switch can sense it in time and issue a warning signal to protect the equipment from further damage.
4. Remote operation: through the auxiliary switch, the operator can realise the remote control operation of the circuit breaker without the need to go to the site in person to operate, which improves the working efficiency and safety.
