How to prevent the products from sinking in the injection molding process?

In the injection molding process, the mold clamping force is not enough, mold temperature control is not appropriate, injection pressure is too large or too small, cooling time is not enough and other factors may lead to products concave. Therefore, to prevent the products from denting, it is necessary to start from these aspects.

First, to ensure that the mold closing force.

The clamping force of the mold directly determines whether the mold can be closed tightly, thus affecting the shape and size of the products. If the clamping force of the mold is not enough, it may cause the products to produce concave in the molding process. Therefore, we need to ensure that the mold clamping force is appropriate, neither too large to cause damage to the mold, nor too small to cause inaccurate shape of the product.

Second, control the temperature of the mold.

The temperature of the mold directly affects the fluidity and curing speed of the plastic. If the mold temperature is too high, the plastic will be cured too early, resulting in the surface of the products appearing concave; if the mold temperature is too low, the plastic will flow poorly, which may also lead to the products appearing concave inside. Therefore, we need to reasonably control the mold temperature according to different plastic materials and injection conditions.

Third, adjust the injection pressure and time.

Injection pressure and time are important parameters for determining the shape and size of plastic products. If the injection pressure is too large, it may cause the plastic to overflow the mold and form a dent; if the injection pressure is too small, it may cause the plastic to be unable to fill the mold, which may also lead to a dent in the product. In addition, too short or too long injection time may affect the filling effect of the plastic, which may lead to the concave products. Therefore, we need to reasonably adjust the injection pressure and time according to the actual situation.

Fourth, to ensure sufficient cooling time.

Cooling time is the time required for plastic products to cool from a high temperature state to a room temperature state. If the cooling time is insufficient, it may lead to too large a temperature difference between the inside and outside of the plastic product, which may cause stress concentration inside the plastic product and lead to denting. Therefore, we need to ensure that the cooling time is sufficient, so that the plastic products can be sufficiently cooled.
