Microswitch: Turn on your electronic world
Microswitch, also known as microbutton switch, is a switch that realizes electrical connection or disconnection by bouncing back after a short time of force. It usually consists of a contact, a spring, a fixing seat and a housing. When an external force is applied to the contact, the spring is compressed and the circuit is connected. When the force is gone, the spring springs back into place and the circuit breaks.
Principle of microswitch
The working principle of the microswitch is mainly based on the resilience of the spring and contact and separation of the contact. When the external force acts on the microswitch, the contact contact with the fixed base, the circuit is closed; When the external force disappears, the contact is quickly separated and the circuit is disconnected. This mechanical contact mode of operation makes microswitches a fast and reliable switching device.
Classification of microswitches
According to the different shape and functional characteristics, microswitches can be divided into many types. The common ones are rectangular microswitches, in-line microswitches, axial microswitches, etc. In function, the micro switch can be divided into single pole single throw, single pole double throw, double pole double throw and so on.
