Why do I need to use multi-stage injection molding?
Injection molding is a common method of processing plastics in the plastics industry. This method involves injecting molten plastic into a mold cavity, which is cooled and cured to form the desired product. However, the injection molding process often involves the use of a technique called multi-stage injection molding. So why is this technique needed?
The so-called multi-stage injection is to control the inflow rate and pressure of the molten plastic in the plastic injection molding process in stages, in order to achieve precise control of the quality of the plastic parts.
Why do we need to use multi-stage injection molding in the injection molding process? This mainly involves the following reasons.
One is to ensure the molding effect of the product. In the process of injection molding, if all the plastic melt is injected all at once, due to the different cooling speeds of each part, it may lead to stress inside the product, which in turn affects the shape and dimensional accuracy of the product. And through multi-stage injection, it can make the plastic melt evenly distributed in the cavity, avoiding the stress caused by uneven cooling.
Secondly, in order to improve the mechanical properties of the product. Multi-stage injection molding can accurately control the flow and filling of the plastic melt according to the structural characteristics of the product, so that all parts of the product can get enough material to replenish and improve the strength and toughness of the product.
Third, in order to reduce the defects of the product. In the injection molding process, if the flow rate of the plastic melt is too fast, it may produce bubbles, cracks and other defects. And by multi-stage injection molding, these problems can be effectively avoided.
Fourth, in order to improve the production efficiency of injection molding processing. Multi-stage injection molding can flexibly adjust the injection speed and pressure of each stage according to the actual situation of the product, thus improving the production efficiency.
Multi-stage injection molding is an effective means of injection molding processing process control, which can control the flow rate and pressure of the molten plastic body by stages to ensure the molding effect of the product, improve the mechanical properties of the product, reduce the defects of the product and improve the production efficiency. Therefore, in the injection molding process, it is necessary to use multi-stage injection molding.
